City of Maize Where Community Counts

City of Maize Housing Grant Program

Beginning January 1, 2015, the City of Maize adopted a 5-year tax incentive housing program available to owners of newly constructed homes.  This program will reimburse new home buyers a percentage of the taxes they pay to the City of Maize over a 5 year period. 

The 5-year tax incentive housing program is scheduled to expire on December 31, 2017.

The 5-year formula is outlined below:

  • Year 1:  100% Maize Taxes Refunded
  • Year 2:  100% Maize Taxes Refunded
  • Year 3:  100% Maize Taxes Refunded
  • Year 4:  75% Maize Taxes Refunded
  • Year 5:  50% Maize Taxes Refunded
