Crime Mapping & Analytics

The Maize Police Department utilizes LexisNexis | Community Crime Map to provide citizens and interested parties a means to view and analyze reported crimes by general location, date, time and density.  Citizens can track crime in their neighborhoods online with a simple click of the mouse.  LexisNexis | Community Crime Map identifies crimes reported to the Maize Police Department by placing an icon on top of a map of the City of Maize showing the general location of the crime reported rounded to the nearest hundred block.  Each icon represents a different type of crime.  You can obtain more information by clicking on the icon which will then add a pop-up window with more specifics about the offense including the date and time reported, specific type of crime and Maize Police Department case number.  In addition, registered offenders are also identified on the map by a unique icon that, when clicked on, will provide the name and photograph of the offender and additional information.  Finally, residents can sign up through the LexisNexis | Community Crime Map to receive crime alerts via e-mail when reported crimes occur near where they live.

Should anyone have information about a reported crime, they can either contact the Maize Police Department during regular business hours at 316-722-1433 or anonymously through Wichita/Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers at 268-4111 or online at https://www.p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=217.  Please provide the Maize Police Department case number with your tip.
